My lack of reading my own training schedule is going to be the death of me. My Monday morning run was scheduled to be a three miler on the Willow Road-to-Shangri-La-and-back loop. I did the Willow Rd to Hwy. 5 turnaround instead.
This morning I reintroduced myself to World’s Gym. Maybe I didn’t mention it when I signed up for a new membership a couple of months ago, but it’s now a 24 hours-7 days operation. That explains why i saw more cars than i thought would be there at 5:00 a.m. on a weekday. Still, not too many people on the weights and machines, so I got in my circuit course. When I go back Thursday I’ll star keep ing track of what weights I’m using.
Tomorrow, I am scheduled to do a fartlek. Long story short: 5-10 minutes of light jogging…four cycles of 4 minutes running, then 1 minute jogging…then 5-10 jogging to cool down. I plan to go out to the track at NAS Patuxtent River for this session tomorrow morning. Time to buy a wristwatch…
