I got done with my circuit course 45 minutes ago. 7:45 p.m. is the latest I have finished any workout this year. Mostly because I didn’t have any Uber available this morning to take me to any gym (on base or off).
I got home about 5:00 and didn’t get to my apartment complex until about 6:30. I got to my apartment, got my medications and some white sox, then went to the gym. Only thing is, I had to walk an extra quarter mile because my normal workout place would not take my electronic key fob.
Fortunately, there was a second lounge/fitness center where I could go work out. I found almost all of the equipment I needed was there to do my workout, with the exception of a shoulder press machine. Fortunately there were some dumbbells that I could use for my shoulder press. With my workout equipment in place, I stretched out and did my workout.
Like my first trip to Drill Hall last week, I spent my first two sets trying to figure out the machines and how to set the weights. The goal was to to get four cycles of eight exercises, with twelve reps done for thoroughness, speed, and strength. By the time I was on my fourth set, i got the hang of it, and soon I was all finished.
Tomorrow will be another run to Thames Avenue (note to self: look for Imagine One building!). I still have to figure out what I’m going to do for Friday, because that’s when I leave for Peoria, IL and a week’s vacation. I am also still in the hotel, so I will have to figure out my egress plan, since I have to check out Friday morning.
Song of the Day:”S.O.B”/Nathaniel Ratliff and the Night Sweats. I heard this song on the 20 minute drive from Arby’s one night. When I looked up the video on YouTube…oh, look, they ripped off the ending from “The Blues Brothers.” So? Damn good song, though…
“Dare”/Stan Bush: Because nothing like running inspiration from TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE!!!
